NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

The November 12, 2024 meeting of the Central New York Car Club Association was called to order at 7:02 PM by Mike Mastracco, President.

Mike has Association window stickers if anyone wants one. Discount cards for Advanced Auto are also available at the meeting.

2025 CNY CCA dues are now due by February 1st.  Please pay by then to avoid late fees. See attached form.

Votes were taken for the offices of Vice President and Secretary. John Gardinier has been elected as Vice President.  Since there were no other nominations for the office of Secretary, Sue & Terri will remain in the office until a replacement can be found.

The dates for the Syracuse Nationals are set for next year – July 18, 19 & 20.  Camping registration is now open, and will probably be full by March, so if you need a site, you should register as soon as possible.  Also, they will be providing specials on registrations at various times prior to the start of the Nationals.  Patti and Jay Strait attended SEMA again this year and have many new/returning vendors coming to the Nationals.

The Syracuse Corvette Club held it’s annual “Checks to Charities” Night at Barbagallos on November 21st, where they awarded $26,000 to 13 local charities ($2,000 per charity). Most of the money was raised at their annual Vettes at the Beach All Corvette Charity car show held in July.

Maple Road Boyz presented $13,000 to the Carol Baldwin Foundation, and the CNY Humane Association.

The Treasurer’s report was presented by Paula Stillwell and placed on file.

The Association encourages all car club members to join the SEMA Action Network. Membership is free, and you will be kept informed on all upcoming legislation and how it impacts our hobby.  See the latest issues of Driving Force by clicking here.

The 50/50 of $28 was won by Joe Olmsted of the Pontiac-GMC Club of CNY.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:35. The next meeting will be in January of 2025, as there is no meeting scheduled for December. Minutes submitted by Sue Dombroski and Terri Reardon, Co-Secretaries.
